I do realize that is the primary purpose as far as Microsoft is concerned. Howevef that doesn't mean its my primary purpose. My primay purpose is testing what future builds of Windows 10 can do for my entire computing environment - which not only contains programs like Firefox, Chrome, VLC etc etc but also Virtualization products besides Hyper-V (which I can actually test to extent using VMware) like Virtualbox and VMware but also how Windows 10 fits into a dual box environment where I can use products like Diskinternals and other to access Ext4 filesystems. Obviously one of the newer technologies Microsoft wants to test is the Linux subsystem. I use my Windows 10 machine to do work on a Windows 2016 Server Essentials TP4 machine as well so I want to test that out (BTW Remote Access works great!). Like I said when a new build appears I return O&O Shutup to factory defaults or use gpedit, msc. I'm certainly able to play with Edge for example but it still has quite a ways to go to catch up to Chrome or Firefox. O&O BTW seems to do little to stop the increasing annoyance of reseting my own application defaults - that behavior needs to be reported to Microsoft as well.

DuckDuckGo isn't MS to start with but Mozilla found in FF as well as the variant browsers. Apparently the browser default search engine was bumped back not by the upgrade to the 332 build but the latest FF or other release. I jumped from Waterfox 44.0.3 to 46 in one key stroke never even seeing a WF 45. Likewise having the upgrades now always automatic other things have been suddenly seeing new shortcuts appearing on the desktop!

The latest update for Start10 flopped on the second desktop and still hasn't seen the light of day on the main yet however. I will likely need to uncheck the updates function for that along with a fewer things in order to avoid unticking the Get updates for MS and other applications box.

. . .really cannot see any reason for "Start 10". . . now that is just how I see feel about these start menu programs. . .

I like Start 10 myself. However the new start menu in 332 breaks it in the sense that it no longer be accessed. I'll probably uninstall Start 10 however in the next build released to Insiders unless Start 10 can accomodate it. When the new build is released I'll do a clean install as it doesn't take me but a few hours to re-install my progrms - time well spent as I learn something new each time

I don't like the Windows 10 start menu since I prefer something smaller, neater and better organized. Classic Shell gives me a start menu that I can customize the way I want it. In the rare event I want to access the Windows start menu, it's set to pop up when I hit the Windows key on my keyboard.

You seem to forget the new menu brings in Metro tiles along with it! Start10 offers the new menu WITHOUT Metro tiles! as well as a few more customization options available as well. Out of the 10 VMs also being run some do while most don't have Start10 or any other app in use. I cover all angles here!

Not broken here any! On the two desktop as well as a couple of VMs with it I see regular updates coming in for it. The one just seen on the second desktop however ran into a slight problem but still retains the normal functioning when the update failed to initialize properly. Start10 should be able to go right back on for you by using your account login information not the product key on the reinstall to see it activate again. Otherwise you can run into the duplicate key error.

I'm with you, Lee. No Start 10 or any other menu program for me.

Yeh, but you can easily get rid of the tiles; just unpin them and close up the space they were in. Nothing simpler. I've been doing that for quite a long time.

I depend on tiles to pin most used program to start. Kinda handy to find them real fast. Now if only start menu would show up with mouse over the start button !!
