Yep, Edge is about half as good as IE now, which in turn is about half as good as Firefox or Chrome.

Say who? I still haven't Edge quite upto par that close to IE yet while it's still time to retire IE for the most part! The other browsers are what they are other browsers. Edge is still a major overall still in it's own infancy while IE has been around since the 9x family tree. One long outdated being replaced by one still not out of the diaper stages still in need of much work! That won't this summer but a couple of years generally to see smoothed out!

I mentioned it more in a Night Hawk context. Can't compare Edge with IE. I actually like some of the Edge extensions.

I realize that! But I was still pointing out that the new browser will still be needing a good amount of time to get the bugs worked out being that it is the new one out as well as getting even more options and features working for it. IE on the other hand has been enjoying a good 20+yrs. of life and still seeing a lot of use in contrast there. But sadly MS fumbled the ball with IE too often over the years as well as it simply not being what is needed at this time for most.

Given Edge has only been out for about a year it's rather good and it's making nice progress. Give it a few years and it's going to be more competitive with Chrome and FF.

I don't doubt it, Jeff, but it ain't thar yit. And although I'm more than willing to continue testing Windows 10, when it comes to my Browser, I need solidity and stability.

I suspect that if MS actually goes ahead and puts the effort in for a change you might see Edge come out on top sooner or later. At the present time however it will still need quite a bit of work to suffice as the total replacement browser to IE.

Meanwhile I found something that could explain why some are not seeing new builds right away. With the two brand new VMs created since last weekend the first is still in wait while the second saw the 332 build after only a 12hr. period approximately. So what was it to explain why the older VM still hasn't while that should have seen it first?

Upon going back into the Advanced settings despite having already been in there a few times to see that the Fast ring was applied by moving the slider over from the Slow to Fast since that is actually now besides the 10 Home VM the oldest Pro VM upgraded to the 328 over the weekend by way of a clean install from the BT folder backed up onto a second partition on the VHD no less I went in once again today only to find the Slow mode was reset by something unknown.

It had been set to receive new builds as well as being set to Fast setting while being recorded as well as double checked on later still found set for Fast. In the interim days however the Slow had been reset after shutting the VM down a few more times and started up again to continue checking. I would suggest that anyone who hasn't received the new build within the first 24hr. time frame recheck the setting there just in case.

Similar to the above, when I decided to do a clean install of the previous preview that was on the fast Ring, I noticed that for some unknown reason the clean install was put to the Slow Ring.

After putting it back on the Fast Ring I received the latest build minutes later.

    Cheers,

It took close to 1-1/2 hours to download on my desktop. I started downloading on my phone a few minutes after starting on my desktop. By the time my phone downloaded and installed the download on my desktop was only at 35%. Once it was downloaded on my desktop the install took about 25 minutes.
