Insider Fast builds are buggy. Deal with it. Insider

Being "buggy" is only a big deal to those who run it on their main PC as their day to day OS.
If you want to be an insider, at least get a separate hard drive if getting a test PC is not an option.

Winuser, double , but in this case (IMHO), some is a substantial number.

It might now be the only OS they have cause they chose to dedicate it as their primary, may have too much invested in time, effort, data, progs to easily go back.

Almost identical except I still have an 8.1 partition, just for giggles. And a few VMs tossed in I can really mess up with experimenting (testing).

Just wondering.....on release only some were able to get the update.....going by the complainants postings on this forum, others had to wait days before M$ released the update again.
Could this have been because M$ realised there was a flaw in the operating system, and were then able to rectify it?

MS tends to parse updates/upgrades so not to saturate servers. I don't think they can make changes to releases "On the fly", it's just too complicated and lengthy to do that.

No. Won't put up with that B.S. It's my computer. I can do whatever I want with it.
Switch to Slow ring and see what will happen to next new build.
Worse comes to worst, I'll change it to Linux, or just shut the darn thing down. This one is just my secondary device.

Well, David, when all is said and done, Windows Insiders are nothing more or less than beta testers. That's exactly what the Windows Insider Program is . . . a gigantic beta test with millions of beta testers rather than the thousands we had back in the old days of beta testing for Microsoft.

I've been a beta tester for Microsoft since sometime in the late 80s or early 90s. I've enjoyed every minute too. I know what I'm getting into when I start a new beta. I've been there, done that too many times to think everything should and will be hunky dory.

Y'know, if I had to say that Microsoft got anything wrong with this beta, it would be to say that they forgot to include beta in the Windows Insider Program. They should have named it Windows Insider Beta Program.

Nah, there would still be those who would say, “Microsoft sucks” and “Windows 10 is the worst ever”. And you'll always have those who want the latest and greatest without having to do the work (beta testing) to get it.

I think maybe Windows 7 was the last time beta testers got a free copy of what they were testing. I did get a free copy of Office 2013 (a total surprise), although that wasn't normally done.

Thing is, Windows 10 is free to anyone running Windows 7 or 8.1, so they don't even have to test if they don't want to.
