RAW sockets are not supported in the bash shell (at least in this version) and ping/tracert etc... from bash do not work without it and you also can't use tools like MTR and nmap since both also use RAW sockets on linux (hopefully they'll fix that!)

I should note that Windows supports RAW sockets but the required syscalls are not yet implemented for the Linux subsystem for use by Linux processes.

You can run commands like "wget google.com" to download internet resources and "apt-get update" to update the already installed packages or "apt-get install" to download new packages from the internet with no problem - same thing for someone above whom was using ssh to connect to servers without any issues.

For example, run the following bash command to install a package from the internet:
    apt-get install cmatrix

Don't worry about any errors while installing; once its finished, type cmatrix into the console for a matrix effect:

Darn, my comp isn't sleeping either. Please don't let it be like it was when on 8.1!

The screen blanks but no sleep. There is constant low level disk activity.

My 14316 seemed to install and run fine except for PIN login which now gives an "Object not found" message and the page in account settings for creating a PIN won't load. I thought it was just a corrupted file but I rolled back, deleted the install files for 14316 and the references in the registry then re-downloaded and I have the same problem again. I've filed a report but I'm at a loss on that one.

I don't know what would happen now, with this slew of new subkeys!

Indeed, just yesterday, I applied an old TH2 WindowsSelfHost.reg * (the Applicability subkey only) to a 10586 installation that was in a problem Insider "security settings" fix and restart loop, and it was repaired to Insider Fast Ring, after reboot:

BTW, I didn't say that that app is the same. I meant to say, that it will probably supersede it in the future.
I have Microsoft Quick Assist under all apps/Windows Accessories. It also is listed under manage optional features. I have the home version of build 14316. It is not in 10586 version 1511
