Oh, my bad. I guess I took it way too literally. But don't worry about, It's okay. I know you aren't trying intension anything, I totally understand. :)
I can see now how it could look like I was replying specifically to you. Your post just started a train of thought in my mind. I am also a member of the sister forums, Eight Forums and Seven Forums. "Sometimes" just saying you like 10 there will get you flamed by those that hate it. Even when your trying to help them fix an issue. I go there less and less as a result. Sorry for the confusion. Looks like we're cool now though.

    I think it's really simple
Gamers tend to buy the latest hardware
The latest hardware comes with windows 10 !

Most hardcore gamers build their own systems so they have a choice to install 7 or 10

I bet a lot of them build their own systems. Some just have to have the latest DirectX, so that means, upgrading to the latest OS from Microsoft.

well people need to take count those Upgrade nagging all the time on win7/8//8.1
and no where to disable it without modifiying/hiding/patching windowsupdate

even i build my own system, and install win7, it wont stop ms nagging me to update to win10
    and sneakily download win10 upgrade

personally i still prefer playing game on win7 it much less issue than in win10
some games need windows7 compability to even play the game

directx12 is basically the hype (newer = better), that most people eat without ever learn to read more info about it
like there isnt current GPU that fully support dx12 feature... all gpu now basically partial support
then for full dx12 games... it gonna still need times either

Well now that does sound impressive, except if you take the other Windows versions 32bit/64bit they still make up 55% of the total for Steam. However let us take a look at the real picture

this article gives us a better picture of the actual telling of the gaming market

    -newzoo_global_games_market_2012-2016_chart.png

PC Gaming has been on a decline (less than 6%), and MMOs garner a great share of that which usually doesn't fall under the Steam mantle. Steam is really only a fraction of the total PC portion.

Softpedia authors in my opinion try to over state the importance of their articles. I consider their headline very misleading, if not an outright lie.

Some argue on the XP Forums (Eatup was one of them who used to be here as well) that any kernel based on Windows NT 6x was inferior for gaming, because of slower frame rate issues (I suppose it was because of Aero and Window Compositioning). Thus the claim that Vista, 7, 8x and 10 were inferior for gaming. Is there any truth to that?

    :)
He wrote this to me on the XP Forums:
Dude, you obviously aren't a gamer. Why do we want to give up 50%+ increase in frame-rate by running 7/8.1 just to see the same visuals outputted to the screen?

He does mention it again here
Why do you still use XP? - Page 2
