    Windows 10 “Version 1607” referenced in new developer documents

    A few weeks ago, WinBeta revealed that Windows 10 Redstone 2 would be coming in Spring 2017, with Redstone 1 launching in June of this year. Up until recently, June was locked in as the time-frame for official release, but it appears that may have changed, as official developer documents appear to reference version 1607 instead.

    The date is in the name "1607." "16"=2016 and "07"=July. This has been the projected date for the release of the next version, codename "Redstone" since last year. The development branch roadmap has been floating around the internet for months.
