nah.... I just game on the modest i7 rig in my sig and a 40" Sony LED around here and sometimes the 64 "PDP with the PS3 nothing hard core game wise here

My main TV is the 4K Sony XBR 55" HDR and the 2K Samsung 64f8500 plasma which is usually being watched by the other family members now since I got this 4K HDR Sony in here .

TBH all that with 3 -55" screens & Dolby Atmos would overwhelm me at my age for ant length of time and I might pee my pants ( I don't even ride my mountain bikes anymore ) but I been in some real automotive sims not the arcade stuff and they are definitely intersecting

Again ........Very nice rig he's got there

Still on Windows 10 Mobile, I was able to get past through the video camera error. I noticed that the digital video stabilizer was enabled by default. But what it does is the exact opposite. It adds more shake to the video instead of eliminating it. I disabled it and everything was fine.

Not a biggie because I have other cameras. Just pointing out some issues. I already sent a feedback.

Here's a sample of a video with video stabilization on.
    Btw, YMMV. :)

    Way cool ....Very nice

The next case worked on here would have to be something more like the Antec 1900 since that wouldn't for a desktop but a server project. Besides trying to get a friend to take a look at 10 before the time runs out on the free upgrade offer the server project would entail multiplying the local storage capacities.

Setting aside ram page file compression and Win 7 -8.1 EOL and whatever else they did under the hood here (actually 10586) which one you think is better for fetching & writing data or media in/out a small server .......Win 7x64 , 8.1,or 10 ?

OTOH my W10 USB 3.0 -3tb 3.5" media HDD ( Seagate expansion desk ) works well when it's plugged in the PC and ~ equally well as the SATA III HDDs albiet slower to load a video when plugged into the TV only like usual instead of the PC but that could be Anrdoid in the TV or Kodi but it ain't bad at all .

We are supposed to get Android Marsmallow 6.x this week in the Sony Android TV's :)

FWIW all the HDD's are newish 7500 rpm Seagates w 64 MB of casche

That is going to be a mixed question since if the project is undertaken before the free upgrade to 10 runs out things could see a change namely the 8.1 will be replaced by 10 leaving three editions of 7 Home, Pro, Ultimate the Home on a laptop and 7 Pro and Ultimate on both Desktop and VM platforms as well as 10 Home and Pro on both as well.

Should be an interesting gambit if I set up the 8.1 Enterprise evalualation build on a VM as well. The Server 2016 DataCenter presently in the developer stage will be the source for that. But the one element not expected to fare as well would be the 8.1 being the Home edition as well as 10 Home while 7 Pro and Ultimate see that increased network support the 7 Home laptop lacks!

Presently the VMs for both 7 and 10 are connecting to each other remotely to the Server 2016 VM in use. The problem of course is that being on VM and not on a physical build with several drives installed. Those would need to be 4-5tb in size with GPT and still be seeing multiple volumes. Everything is already 64bit flavored and would eventually need to see ethernet where the performance tests would be evaluated.

Relatively speaking Explorer access times haven't actually seen much of any substantial access time differences. Access to the external drive here will eventually be by way of eSata not USB 3.0 or 2.0 even since usb can get bogged down at times! Been running into this with any large transfers even to 3.0 flash drives!

I still have a few unfinished projects on 7 that could use a test on 10 if I was to follow those up further. Video input and capture hasn't seen anything substantial however still being with the exact same hardwares in use. 10 doesn't seem to bog down as much however while still being the fresh Windows while the 7 side on the main needs a good wipe! A clean install at both ends especially with the Redstone 1 would be the real test however.

Gaming the old 2001 title on the latest build sees instant crash to desktop or crashing on exit while no longer causing the total locks! DX is no longer an issue on 10 like it might be on 7 where you would have to see the full DX9 package go on for the old 9x-XP titles that will still run. Previously that was the case for DX 10 and 11.

Right I been noticing USB 2.0/ 3.0 HDD File transfers can sag significantly at any given time during the transfer same for 2.0/3.0 Flash drives.. I just use one USB drive to play straight into the TV here off the metal if i fill it up I might get another one though it's fine for playing media direct to the TV without an extender or PC

The TV has maybe 4 USB inputs and I could probably just use a hub anyway and stack some Seagate expansion desktop USB HDD's in the bookcase below the TV and see them all in Kodi anyway if I need to

Sounds like you got a big project there

It could get a bit involved! Hopefully the main will hold up a few more years at least before that needs replacement to allow for planning things out for any home server project. By then 7 and 8.1 could be long gone out of the equation since it hasn't shown itself to be a flop!

For adding on external drives the case here has a pair of eSata ports I never got around to plugging in having thought about adding in a 3rd even larger 4-5tb size drive to take up what overfills the now pair of 2tb replacing pair of 1tb drives! But the constraint is having gone with the Antec 900-1 and later replaced with 900-2 case and not the 1200 full tower case. The home server and desktop OS confined to one build? I could have 9 HDs! as well as the pair of dvd drives still leaving the top 5.25" bay open. 8 sata ports seeing 6 in use two for dvd still leaves a pair open for eSata however!

In other news guess what just showed in by email? The announcement newsletter for the 14295 while we are all now waiting for the next to come! I found that one a good laugh!
