I believe I saw someone else post that they had big red x on their network connection (Wi-Fi). I have a big red x on my internet connection indicator but all is well with internet/Ethernet and WI-FI.

Well, nothing is perfect: looks like I'm not getting notification from mail anymore.

    Are you using Hyper-V?
    Known issues for PC
•We are aware of issues with Narrator and other screen reader apps being unable to read the menu options in the Feedback Hub, as well as issues with Narrator not reading selected text in the Feedback Hub, Cortana, and other apps. We’re working diligently to fix these bugs as soon as possible and apologize to Insiders impacted by this.
If you use Hyper-V and have a Virtual Switch configured for your network adapter, you may see an error indicator (red-colored “X”) for your network adapter in the notification area of your taskbar. The error indicator is incorrect and your network adapter should continue to work just fine.

No, not using hyper-V. So it appears with standard installs, too. As far as functionality, I have no issues with this release -- it seems very smooth.

    sorted.
rebooted and made no difference so checked the Wi Fi devices on here and the update must have enabled a Wi Fi device that i had disabled and as soon as disabled it again the cross was gone.

Not one item on 10 to report with the last or this build as of yet except the new 7 vm upgraded to 10 first seen on Hyper-V couldn't see a working switch while the connection was instantly seen with the VMware Workstation 12 Player. after download of the Windows.iso and then manually starting the upgrade from the BT folder you find at the root of the drive 10 on vm was immediately able to connect by Cat 5 ethernet cable to the router while 7 on vm wasn't able to connect by way of the usb WiFi adapter the physical 7 side of the dual boot normally uses.

Now the other side of the mystery is that the physical 7 install is unable to connect by the Cat 5. It;s a sort of Catch 22 for the second desktop here used mainly for testing. 10 can't simply because not even 8.1 drivers were seen for the older N type router.

So far I don't have a red x on my computer. This is a standard upgrade install. I just finished upgrading about two hours ago so I haven' really had chance to put it to the test yet. :)
