    If I open a menu or window, or whatever, my purpose is to focus on that element and the eventual destination or reason I opened it.
    I know what my desktop background looks like, I don't find it necessary to have a dimly lit reminder of it behind the element I just opened.

    I wonder if Microsoft is waiting tell next week to release a new build because of Daylight saving time change in some parts of the world and Patch Tuesday.

    No, it comes quite handy when you have multiple windows open and "lose one", you don't have to sit there and move others around, or resort to Win key +Tab, to find it.
