Edge extension, Page Analyzer, shows up in the Windows Store

    Posted: 22 Mar 2016

Today, however, we received word that Microsoft has published at least one new Extension in the Windows Store, Page Analyzer. Ultimately, the Windows Store will be the mechanism by which Edge extensions are distributed and managed, and so this is interesting news.

This is a bit confusing. I understood Extensions was still only available to Insider versions of Edge?

Does this mean if I was to check the Windows Store, and find an extension is available, that it will install on Win 10 pro 1511?

    or,

Will the extensions download detect the version of Win 10 and abort?

Is this working on non insider builds, or are you using this on an insider machine?

    Non insider
Once downloaded and installed click open and you will see a folder name you can change it to whatever name you like
I have a folder called Private I clicked that then save now anything that I can save will go to that.
Page Analyzer does not install if you are not an insider

Extensions will only work with the current insider build and I have no idea what would happen if you were
to try that one out on your build.

think I will wait it out, but interesting that they install on non insider builds (though wont work)

not sure I am a fan of them being in the store, would prefer them directly available through Edge, then just clicking install, having to open an extra app sounds annoying, but I will wait to see more reviews/usage of them

I bet that MS has pulled that from the store by now. All I know is I can't find it.

I can find the HTML one, but is this really an extension or just an app?

you access it via the Share menu, the same as mail, onenote, etc
