I haven't run into any of that here on the main that does have a dual monitor set up with any build. It wouldn't be an effect on the second desktop there or on any of the VMs which haven't been set for dual display but I might give that a whirl before the next build goes on!
The second desktop is seeing that go on at the moment. It came as no surprise however since we are near the end of the month with 14291 being a fast go between pushed out.
Well generally you wouldn't be seeing that type of custom at this time anyways since the newer installers would automatically start an upgrade not allowing you to start a custom install to another partition or drive not the same primary. You ran the Windows installer while booted in the present version but saw the custom install go elsewhere. Haven't seen that type of install now however since the XP days and the second OS could end up being labeled the D drive instead of C until fixing a registry error. The iso image itself is mounted on a virtual optical drive to begin with if not simply starting up the setup.exe with a double click on the file itself was how that was done.
I wouldn't know about the Legacy bios for the older premade systems besides a look at a Dell XP machine a friend wanted to toss out the window! He had more Windows glitched with the factory preinstall in those days then with the custom build I set up for him afterwards! You wouldn't have believed how much dust peeled out of that one when he simply let the old crt run with wavy lines not wanting the last good working crt I had to dump when getting into the first lcd.
As for not being able to boot from a flash drive on an HP I saw that with the HP model laptop when going to upgrade 7 to 10 on that as well as the new Toshiba with 10 not allowing a live boot from any flash drive. I wanted to show someone how a live distro looks and even that wouldn't due to the UEFI setting. I can still burn a 10 iso if ever needed for a repair however while I am not expecting a high volume of usage.
14295 restart now button being clicked on!
Yes, yes, I know. My English... It's better I'm wrong this time!
