I have an Icon and ran the Update Advisor and it gave me a similar message.

The windows 10 upgrade isn't available for your phone right now. We're trying to determine if your phone can support Windows 10.

You could try this Jim, I didn't feel like waiting and I saw that Dusty had the same idea when I came online, join the insider and let it upgrade then leave the program,

I did get that app, told me to hold tight and I would get a notification when it became available. I couldn't wait, so I joined the Insider preview build, upgraded to 10, then left the preview builds. Hope I didn't mess anything up lol

I did the exact same thing. I got the same message and I wasn't feeling very confident Metro PCS was going to get involved (Budget Carrier),

as soon as I left the insider builds and checked the updates on my phone it had 10586.164 ready to install, I don't remember what insider build it installed before that but I did two upgrades today.

It runs great on my 640, same build as my desktops and laptop. I like that you can easily move the maps now to the SD card, a bunch of apps got updated, since the Drive apps are getting killed off I just got rid of those too.

Pretty happy with it so far, I didn't do any of the testing with my phone so thanks to all those who did.

I read about it and it doesn't seem too bad so I took it.
I had a couple of icons missing afterwards but not the ones that I care about. I immediately tested if I can make a call and tested my favorite apps and everything works okay.
The favorite folder on photo app is gone so the icon only shows random recent photos or you can pick just one photo to display. I sent a feedback to bring the favorite (photo) folder back.
The first update took about half an hour to install.
    Well, it's nice.
