Why SSDs are obsolete

    512 is a waste. You only need 120GB. You don't really wanna mix your OS/programs and data. Put data on spinners. It's a lot easier and faster to fix a PC when data is separate. Image takes only 5 mins to complete, and a decision to clean install isn't hard to make. :)

    I have a 240gb that I switched with 120gb. I am using the 240gb as a test drive now.

    I wish I had my data inside the box, at least; W10 sucks at loading data from ext drives!

    Edwin, don't give up hope. Win10 is not done yet. I am sure they will fix your problem.

    Not necessarily external USB drives. Spinner on SATA inside the box. Desktop PCs have more than 1 SATA ports. At least 3.

    Yeah, I know; Windows 8 doesn't play well with external hard drives either, though! I just don't like keeping my data inside the box.

    I have no problems with external drives in W8.1. I even run virtual systems from an external SSD on a tiny Asus X205.

    Just make sure you are not using USB 1.0. Haha... :)



    Try eSATA. eSATA PCIe add-on cards are not that expensive.

    Some of my data goes straight to my NAS. No speed issues.

    What, so what you are saying is that my two 480 gig SSDs are totally worthless. . .hmmmm! please explain in great detail why I would be so stupid as to go all SSD and not keep at least one HDD. . .

I don't get the point about MSRT. Why do you have to download and run it EVERY FRIGGING MONTH? :confused::confused::confused: Isn't WD enough? As it scans your system automatically when idle and it has got REAL TIME protection... Or does MSRT...
