After all I'll definitely get a new 512GB SSD before Windows 10 RTM arrives.
512 is a waste. You only need 120GB. You don't really wanna mix your OS/programs and data. Put data on spinners. It's a lot easier and faster to fix a PC when data is separate. Image takes only 5 mins to complete, and a decision to clean install isn't hard to make. :)
I have a 240gb that I switched with 120gb. I am using the 240gb as a test drive now.
I wish I had my data inside the box, at least; W10 sucks at loading data from ext drives!
Edwin, don't give up hope. Win10 is not done yet. I am sure they will fix your problem.
I have no problems with external drives in W8.1. I even run virtual systems from an external SSD on a tiny Asus X205.
Yea I'm not sure why a large ssd would be a problem if anyone can afford them go for it :)
