If you want to change the look then give them 5 bucks.
The reality is that you only need A Start Menu or a dock to launch your crap.
My beef with Microsoft is that you can use Icons bigger than 256x256 and Start Menu currently doesn't scale icons bigger than that so you SOL when it comes to 4k monitors.
I was going to use Obly Tile and Microsoft screwed that idea with 10.
So in reality just add all your games to the Win 10 Start Menu and have at it. You just have to wait until someone comes up with the scaling issue or allows you to use custom png's instead of Icons.

Star Dock has a long history of taking money and not giving updates.
I would say that 99% of what they have to offer is really just a nitpickers choice and not necessary in Windows 10.
That's probably why they are moving to games.

Stardock, if you're reading this, I would rather have WindowFX updated for Windows 10.

Also, if anyone has a solution for placing a custom, cascading, expanding, pop-out sub-menu on the Start Menu in Windows 10, please let me know. I think Windows 98/ME/2K the last time this was easy to do? I think it was possible, but not easy to do in XP. Thanks.

Really? last time I checked Start8, it was on build #56. Start10 has moved out of Beta and is being updated as well. I regularly get updates for other products as well.

I think the previous user is more correct than you are in that Stardock generally doesn't update often (of course some exceptions excluded like Start8). An example is WindowFX, it hasn't been updated for a while and there have been bug reports in their forums since 2014.

Also, I think M$ will fix the 4K scaling issues and other artificial Start Menu limits and hopefully soon.

I started off with Classic Shell and I like it as you can customize it to your liking.

I'm good with startisback. It gives me the most true to form Win7 start menu of any I have tried. Don't use the start menu too much though. With Rocketdock and pinning stuff to the Task bar, most of my needs are met.
