I am sorry to be so mean, but this is not a Linux site it is a Windows 10 site. If I want to read about Linux I'll go to a Linux site. I am primary a Mac person, albeit I do not discuss My Mac use on this site, why because it is for Windows 10. I come here to learn everything I can about Windows 10. This happened over on the Eight Forum, thus I will do everything I can to stop users from posting all their Linux junk. Please take Linux elsewhere. Besides it isn't all that great otherwise it would have a greater portion of the OS System Desktop than one percent.

    No offense is meant.

Actually, a lot of people dual-boot with Windows 7 and Linux. That includes MVPs. Sometimes you need help with both at the same time. Since the owner of Windows 10 also owns PCHelp Forum. Should we recommend people wanting help with both go there?

Linux may have a lower rating because people dual-boot.

What about people wanting to dual boot with Windows 7 and windows 10, or Windows 8 and Windows 10 where should they post?

Some articles posted in news have talked about Windows and Linux at the same time. So those articles shouldn't be posted? Some articles posted in news have talked about only Linux, I think if I am not mistaken was Brink who posted at least one and is a mod.

Again No offense is meant, that just because you think Linux is Junk, doesn't mean it is to other people. Linux and Mac are both originally based off of Unix, just uses different licensing schemes. BSD stuff would be easier to use on Mac then on Linux system with the exceptions of desktops which can be used on both.

What about Virtual Machines, they include multiple operating systems? Where should they post?

No worries, I am a windows guy too. But making a false statement like that based only on pictures you see (clearly you haven't tried linux) will not make a Linux discussion stop. It's only a beginning of a longer discussion. Linux users are "geeker" than Windows users.
There are thousands of discussions here which are not even related to Windows or OS, so why not this one? At least this is an OS topic.
    Anyway, end of Linux discussion.

    Cheers!
Fully agree, badrobot. As well as the bit I have "bolded", a huge percentage of threads in this site, go off thread title in a very short time. (Like my posts here - lol)

You can't avoid going off the topic sometimes. That's a sign of a healty interaction. But it's simple, if you don't like the discussion, then don't reply or quote those who are in lined with the topic. Don't attempt to kill the fun. You will come out a bad guy. :)

I wouldn't say don't reply; let's not be too hard on him/her. Instead I'd just say ignore what you don't like and enjoy what you do. There are plenty of other threads here and I'm learning from most of them. Sometimes I have input and other times I don't.

I looked in on the thread about the Pi and for awhile it interested me, but I came to the conclusion I'm just not that geeky because the conversation has gotten way over my head. So, at some point I'll probably abandon that one. Quietly.

So far, I haven't delved into Linux, and probably won't. When I see anything about Linux, I just go to the next post.

Actually, it's a good idea even for windows only folks to learn something about Linux, it saved me few times and was able to troubleshoot a lot of problems using live (with persistence) USB I keep at hand.

So far these 10tp builds have been nothing to tell momma about so I remove them fairly quickly I'm interested in superficial changes and that's it,
mint mate 17.1 is more interesting to me because it is easier to customize and it's new to me and I find it interesting to play with between build releases
An open mind instead of a bad sarcastic attitude.

That's pretty much how it is with Windows 8.1 when you are signed in to an elevated account or have explorer running elevated. No modern UI or apps will run.
Cool that is how we get rid of it then.......run an elevated account.

I clicked on this thread because I thought there was info about a new Build.

Instead its just people rabbiting on about Linux. Who cares about Linux?

I'm here to learn about and discuss Windows 10.

As with many conversations, online or with other people on a day-to-day basis conversations progress into other topics.

By all means do discuss your thoughts / questions about Windows 10 and I'm sure you will get many responses.
