"we saw ya comin' ya ya ya yaaaaaa..."

Actually this is just the type of topic that will simply go right over the heads of the many! But staying in the game in order to hear all views is a good way to pick up a few things! Being a "Good Listener" is often a very invalueable tool at times! I also know that what can be quite efficient for one person won't necessarily be what works for the next.

Upon looking back to the comment made by that former analyst he came out with.... "BitDefender free av.... Zone Alarm free firewall + common sense"! But you also have to take into account that is one person only who was and still is a specialist in this type of area. involving pc security. You will note the hint on prevention by common sense as well. So it isn't about what you use but how you use it in general as far as the risk factors go! If you have careless browsing habits that will only serve to feed the higher risk factor.

The link for the tips earlier didn't actually refer to any program as far as how to see security tightened up on a personal pc.

That maybe ain't what it is here presumably there are plenty of smart enough folks here at Ten Forums to understand all this and much more but maybe they just ain't interested and what they have is working fine and they probably have backups anyway .

They say "never assume you are the smartest one in the room because someone may come along and make a fool out of you "

OTOH I can understand ( but no longer entertain the proposition of all this ) ......and the futility of it all and would rather quit banging my head against intractable discussions of no use to me before I get a concussion from all this
and I prefer other intellectual stimulation like You Tube or twitter anyway

You're naturally assuming the people I am referring to are here at 10F? I highly doubt that one! They simply don't know how to go about looking for help! Guess who gets stuck fixing their problems? hhmmm....

I could shout it out in all large very font caps here ........... but you can otherwise perhaps use your web browser's zoom function ....btw my post above is HTML text on on the web page here ......maybe use the the eyes instead of the ears .......all this wasn't an audio codec embedded in the forum posting that would necessarily require speakers, phones ,earbuds or an amplified device or audio codecs

So maybe this is application virtualization or no ? .........and does it have the usual persistent nagware upgrade messages with freeware /trial software ?

I could see a good argument for freeware whores and maybe torrent downloaders using it or anbody that goes to the malware geysers like Download.com and Sofpedia and maybe as an alternative to running windows in a virtual machine ...depending as long as nothing can crawl outta there which probably cant be guaranteed these days outside of an OS on a VM
