I haven't had Windows shutting down or logging off altogether by itself but the mail client ,run time tile apps, browsers or just about anything else including File Explorer can freeze, hang or close down without warning in the last few test builds here . I'm hoping the next build is more stable although it's playing nicer today with F.F. than Chrome x64 .:)
Lets hope, that now, when MS delivered Windows mobile to phone users, we are next. Only thing I'm afraid of is, that thing will get worse, before they get better.

Done and done (desktop and phone). Now just usual postoperative measures to be taken.

I've only had operations twice in my life. After both I came around screaming.

    Is that what you mean?

I'm past screaming when new updates change most of my settings. Already have routine for that.
System protection (System restore) for C:
    Make ISO of newest update.
    Make new Restore point.
    Turn off disk defragmenting.
    Run system checks.
    Run disk cleaner.
    Get rid of shortcut arrows.
    Run Malwarebytes and Advanced cleaner.
    Make Macrium Reflect backup.
Check what else is screwed up.
    Get a drink.

Good advice! Especially the last item!

I agree. I have followed that advice vigorously the past 35 years.

FWIW 14291.rs1 is running fast, smooth, rock solid stable and strong here so far and I won't be shedding any tears about losing 14279 ( one of the poorest performing unstable Insider test builds in a good while IMO ) good riddance!

But that procedure doesn't follow what the Galloping Gourmet used:
    Stir a pot
    drink wine
    stir a different pot
    drink wine
    add an ingrediant
    drink wine
    etc.
    etc.
    etc.
