I'm pretty much dumb as a rock when it comes to this stuff soooo..
I'm running 10 ver 10240 on a Dell 580 x86 32 bit upgraded from 7 Ultimate in 7-2015. When I try to upgrade to 10586.122 I get the error 'not for this machine" or something to that effect. However, my Dell D630 floptop upgraded from 7 PRO to 10204 downloaded and installed both 3140743(1st) and 3139907(2nd) yesterday automatically.

Last evening I downloaded "Win10_1511_English_x32.iso" and just used it to burn a DVD. My question, can I simply install 10586.122 from the DVD or do I need to do something else? I made and stored an image of the running 580 10240 and think'n I should clone my backup disc just in case.

    HELP!!!!

    Bill
    Hi Bill,
Yes, you can right-click the ISO to mount it, then run setup.exe. Just be sure you've got a good image of your HDD in case you need to put it back.

    *Now successfully installed updates.

The error message I got was:
    'System Thread Exception Not handled'.

I read somewhere that this is a graphic card-driver issue, I did the below steps, not sure which one actually worked!
    - Uninstalled KIS since it wasn't able to start application
    - was Unable to turn on Win defender
    - downloaded latest drivers for my NVIDIA Quadro graphic card
    - at this point the computer automatically restarted to run both NVIDIA driver and Win updates.
    - Updated and restarted without incident.

I have also installed the KIS back after the updates.

u need to mention what BSOD code u got, so people can guess what might cause reboot loop
without it, then there is something in your PC (usually driver related) conflicting with update and cause BSOD

Updated with no issues and finally since the th2 release this update seems to have corrected the dxgmms2.sys System Service Exception BSOD that I, along with many others have been getting with NVidia cards on their post 347.88 drivers in some DirectX games.

My first big update via Windows Update Mini Tool, painless.
8 minutes to download and install, 4 minutes to restart.
The last big update failed, I had to reinstall Windows.

Worked like a champ sim. I made a new image of the running disc, used it to clone and upgraded the backup disc. I going to beat it up for a few days then I'll redo the original disc.

Once again, Thanks for your help!
