As far as I can tell, judging by my tests both on real physical and virtual machines, it is at the moment (build 14271) totally impossible to stop receiving Insider builds.
It would appear simple to stop receiving insider builds - log on with a local account only, and possibly use regedit on the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\ and delete all subkeys.
Postscript:
It would seem to me that the "Windows Cyber Defense SenseClient" which is not mentioned by any other security software houses, AFAIK, is an anti Windows hack defense.
I would guess that systems hacked by the various methods of activation seemingly allowed since RTM, will start getting warnings due to this "sense - defense" protocol, for users to validate and legitimize their installations by purchasing licenses as the deadline of the end of free upgrades approaches.

Yes, that works of course. But what about a newbie user, not too advanced? Shouldn't stopping the Insider builds simply work whenthe user clicks the button:
If not, why is the button still there?
I am not complaining, I will remain Insider and want Fast Ring builds as long as the current system is working but when trying to think about those users wanting to stop it, this IMO should work.
tracit99,
Assuming you do want to Opt out of Insider Preview build program....................
Since I do not get a clarification of whether build 14267 also froze when trying to enable Stop Insider Preview Build option, I am going to propose this suggestion anyway.
You decide if it is worth trying at all.
Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Go back to an earlier build, click the Get Started button.
Supposedly you will be back to your previous build.
If so, try the Stop Insider Preview build option again.
Hopefully, it won't freeze this time.
