Kaspersky Cleaner For Windows, Freeware CCleaner Alternative

I have just tried this Wise app and it struck me as a too aggressive app. It displayed more than 2 GB to delete from my computer, including Office MSOCache and some folders inside Windows\Installer.

Sorry I can't - Windows Defender quarantined it and then I destroyed it. No need to mess with questionable software, I have enough problems without creating them.
I ran Malwarebytes Premium, HitmanPro and Windows Defender plus MRT and no infections were found. I have never had a virus - ever. Maybe Wise Disk Cleaner packages some crap with their installation ?
I tried it again and got this message: " Unable to execute file in the temporary directory. Setup aborted.
Error 225 Operation did not complete successfully because the file contains virus or potentially unwanted software."
Entry in Windows Defender was: "Trojan: Win 32/Varpes.J!plock Severe Quarantined".
Again Windows Defender quarantines it and I delete it.

Used the link provided for the Wise app. Downloaded but did not install.
Ran Malwarebytes. Detected 2 malwares.
Not sure where they came from.
To be on the safe side, I deleted the download.
P.S. Should have taken a screenshot of the report, but forgot.

It's got some "hitchhikers' (PUP's)

Why anyone would want to install CRAP software loaded with junk, and Malware that is suppose to clean and check your computer is very foolish. Just my opinion .

I have CCLeaner pro and I love it so I am going to stick with it for now :)

Thanks davidhk and Edwin for posting - at least now I know I am not alone in experiencing some crap in the download. It's a shame that they put that kind of stuff in their downloads and cause more problems than their product fixes. You never know.........

That's the only thing I noticed when I installed it. Windows Defender and Malwarebytes never gave any warnings. The program installed and runs fine. I'll try it for awhile then decide if I'll keep it or not.

Provided if the alleged Trojan and malwares are not originated from the program.
If yes, you are cooked.
