I guess that is why you call it the "FFFFFFFFast Ringggggg"!!! .....zzzzzzzzoom! Time to reboot the test build out of... or fire up the VMs at least to make the check up on that!

I think I'll wait for a release that fixes the high jacking of file associations, assuming that's not a "feature".
It is a great annoyance to have Windows 10 change defaults back to Microsoft's inferior programs from 3-party programs you may have paid for as shareware. I'm not sure $MS will change this behavior but hope they will or at least come clean on this
Thanks for posting it here @Kari.
When I get home off late shift I only view my subscribed threads and generally just mark forums as read, as there are so many posts to go through the next day.
Frank usually PM's me, but he's on vacation, soooo...
If it wasn#t for this post I would have found out when the Insider Hub piped up(whenever that would be).
Still same annoyances after every update.
System restore turned off.
Printer disappears
Some programs uninstalled
Disk defrag turned on automatic
Here that other first 10 Pro VM I had problems trying to get the last build to go on was still caught in a limbo loop with several updates and when firing that one up now from 10 with the move option that took a sudden turn when going to start it up and watched as the boot started off at 47% complete! But VMware tools installed which seemed to go right on before the upgrade took place as it is finishing up now that is will need to see that repeated. I was able to drag new folders over the 10 host to the VM directly however until the bad install? of the VMware tools trashed that option!
At now I will have a working 10 VM on each 10 and 7 installs and since the VMs are being kept on a totally separate drive used for system images once 7 sees a fresh install I can restore one of them there to have 10 on both sides even on both desktops as well. I still need to see if the 10 Pro VM saw digital entitlement there as the Home edition did on the 7 Pro side.
The one thing however I found rather odd while able to rename the VM as you notice from simply Windows 10 x64 to W10 Pro x64 TH2 is now after the upgrade by update went well but was for the Threshold 2 Update since that VM was originally held off when the 10586 Insider was first out not seeing the Get insider builds option enabled when finding the 10586 was a major improvement over the 10565 I still have an iso for.
Now to see how long it will take to see the 14271 arrive! :)
Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! Having wondered at first why no watermark was seen after that upgrade by update and the reboot once the option for the Insider build was enabled I go in and slide it over to the Fast ring and then as soon as I make a check for updates....
Bingo! Ringo! That was lightning fast in contrast to the previous waits! I now have to reboot the VM for the upgrade to take place.

At the moment I am waiting to see if I can get the 14271 or next build to download on the main build's main drive here since suddenly the Threshold 2 is starting to act up not being able to rename old as well as brand new folders where I had to reboot into 7 to get a few renamed as well as create some other new ones! When enabling the hidden system admin I couldn't browse for a profile pic since the button for that wouldn't bring up the browser window for that when clicking the button.
Been reviewing numerous MS answers and other proposed solutions that fail to yield any results on this type of bug. Rather then a repair install or slapping a clean one on at this with a pending clean install for 7 long overdue I opted for seeing Insider builds instead replace the TH2.
