Now Available: Hulu on Windows 10

    Posted: 15 Feb 2016

Today, Microsoft is excited to announce the availability of the new Hulu app for Windows 10. The all-new Universal Windows Platform application is available across PC, tablet and mobile in the US and is just in time to watch the brand new Hulu Original 11.22.63, which premieres today!

Download the Hulu app for Windows 10 today, subscribe and tune in to the eight-part event series from Stephen King and J.J. Abrams, with star James Franco. In addition to the Hulu Windows 10 app experience, the first part of 11.22.63, “The Rabbit Hole,” is also available for free to non-Hulu subscribers on Xbox this week only*. Check out Xbox Wire for more details.

Hulu has something for everyone, and is the only streaming service that offers access to current season shows from top broadcast networks, full libraries of hit shows, movies and acclaimed originals. With nearly 100,000 hours of content available on Hulu, this new universal app will make it easier to stream your favorite show wherever you want.

    Hey Hulu!

Hulu’s new app works beautifully with Windows 10 features like Cortana and Live Tiles and features an adaptive, responsive layout. The Hulu app on Windows 10 is the only version of Hulu available today that uses universal voice search through Cortana.

With support for Cortana you can launch the app and begin playing a show by simply saying, “Hey Cortana, Hulu play Family Guy”. If you haven’t seen the show before, the Hulu app will launch and immediately begin playing the first episode of the show. If it’s a series you’re already into, you can resume a show you’ve been watching by saying, “Hey Cortana, Hulu play ’Empire’” and the Hulu app will immediately begin playing that specific episode right where you left off!

With Windows 10 Live Tiles support, you can access Hulu with the touch of a finger by pinning the Hulu app to your Start menu. As a Live Tile you can discover new shows and always stay up to date on what the featured TV shows are on the Hulu App Homepage.

Whether on your phone, tablet or PC, the Hulu app on Windows 10 will look great with an adaptive and responsive layout so you can watch current and hit TV shows and movies right from your favorite Windows 10 device.

    The Universal Windows Platform

Created as an all new Universal Windows Platform app, movie and television fans can choose from thousands of episodes and shows including The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, Seinfeld, Modern Family, Adventure Time, CSI and many, many more. The Universal Windows Platform enables developers to create one app experience that extends across Windows 10 devices.

Windows 10 is off to a great start with over 200 million monthly active devices around the world running Windows 10 and more than 3 billion visits made to the Store.

Since launch, we’ve also seen many new universal apps available on Windows 10, including apps from Netflix, Uber, Dropbox, TripAdvisor, Pandora, 1-800-Flowers, Box, Shazam, Twitter, Wall Street Journal, Trip Advisor and NPR among others.

To get started with Hulu for Windows 10, head to the Windows Store to download the app for free. We hope you enjoy the new Hulu app on Windows 10!

*Available in the US from Mon. Feb 15th – Sun Feb. 21st on Xbox One.

Working with Hey Cortana is a nice feature. It would be nice to have that feature on my smart tv's. :)

Apparently not? It didn't show up in a Store search for me. Clicking the link Brink posted above finds it in the store for me but shows "Hulu is currently not available" when I click get the app..

Actually I knew hulu was only for USA at least 2 years ago.

I just thought MS had changed that and made it available in other countries.

MS has nothing to do with it. It's about Hulu and their streaming rights. They only have right to the USA and certain military bases abroad.

    1. They should make that clear when you go to the link, which they have not done.
    2. Why list it for Windows 10 when most of us outside the USA will never be able to use it
