Leaked screenshots from Windows 10 build 10009 reveal updated Recycle-icons.png

Today is a good day. It appears Microsoft has finally updated the Recycle Bin icon, something that hasn't happened in over 7 years. Screenshots from build 10009 have leaked onto the internet revealing a number of different icon changes.

The Recycle Bin is just one of many which have also received a face lift. The Control Panel and Hard Drive icons too have a new icon, matching the rest which we've seen in build 9926.

Seriously, WTAF! Why are they deliberately making the Windows 10 icons so bad? Nadella should relocate the Microsoft art department to where they store the dumpsters and tell them they can only move back into the main building when they stop being rubbish.

Ok, I for one love the new look. It's fresh and up to date. But then again I like change and this IMO is a good thing.

    YMMV

I think it's insane, that since Window 7 reared it's ugly head, "Windows Mail" has been purposely disabled by MS.
If they don't want us to use it, and obviously they don't, then why leave it in the OS, as just more Bloat?

Personally, I want it to work!!!! If there's any one thing I'd like MS to do with Windows 10 is re-enable "Windows Mail".
Don't change it, and don't mess with it or even change the icons, just make the dang thing WORK!
Probably the only persons who share my thoughts on this, are those who still lament over the loss of Outlook Express.

I've managed, with some help, to get Windows Mail working in Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, but so far I've not been successful in getting it re-enabled in Windows 10. Grrrrr! *

    * If anyone knows how to do that, I'd be forever grateful to know how.

I hate new icons so much that i wont even upgrade to the newest build if it comes out. i think that the first icons that they changed were quite good looking.

I agree the icons are like frills around the edge of a picture but it doesn't take away what you are looking at. I'm not hung up about the icons. I'm just looking to see what changes they have in mind.

It looks like the desktop for one of those little learning "computers" for kids sold at Toy-R-Us.
