go to control panel, all items, troubleshooting, system and security, fix problems with windows update.

It fixed the issue for me.

I have since disabled automatic updates of Apps in the store, and also, I do not allow Win10 to automatically install updates either. I prefer to do these myself when they are available, when it suits me..

    Hi,

Tried that but no joy. Restored from previous image and no problems!!!! Way to go Microsoft asses.
@cheenu, you might want to clean that up a bit before someone does it for you.

    Windows Update error 80070020

If you see Windows Update error 80070020, another program might be interfering with Windows Update.
Restart your computer and run Windows Update again.

Your A V could be causing the trouble

Ever since the update my mouse cursor frequently shows the "busy" signal, like once every minute or 2. The busy signal stays on for about 15 seconds each time. I try to open the task manager quickly to see if some noticeable process is making the system busy, but haven't been able to find anything significant.

Has anyone else seen such behavior after the update?

Except for this issue, everything else seems to be working fine. My appstore seems to be handling the updates normally now (they weren't working before), and it's possible that a bug I was frequently having concerning "missing network protocols" has now been fixed.
