    Windows 10 IoT

I think it's more that they want to get involved in the Internet Of Things. I bought my Pi because it was inexpensive and it gave me something to tinker with. The new Pi that was just released should be able to run Android and Windows 10, so now it will be even more fun to test things out on it. I'm thinking Windows 10 on the Pi will be more like Windows Phone, or Windows RT. You won't be able to run normal x86 desktop programs on the Arm processor. Even so, I'll be giving it a look see at some point. I haven't bought my Pi 2 yet, won't be long though before I order one. I have a Pi B+ but that one won't run Android or Windows, it has an older ARM processor on it. With that one I'm limited to Linux and RISC, etc.

EDIT: Notices reference to IoT in first post and does a . Makes note to self, do not post until after you have had first cup of coffee.

    There are x86 windows 8.1 tablets. I have an 10-incher (Asus T100) that I can upgrade to Windows 10 x86 later. :)

    Edit:
And there is also Android for Windows. It's called Bluestacks. :)

Yeah, Robot, and they're already dipped their toes into the waters on ARM processors with the release of Microsoft Office for Android tablets . . . although they left a lot of people with 'droids hanging . . . the obvious next step is to put Windows on ARM processors.

You trying to drive me bonkers, Robot!? I replied to your post and it's gone and this one's in its place!

Anyhoo, I would be caught installing Windows 10 onto my HP Slate 10.1" HD tablet if it ever becomes possible! For sure!

    What's this about Bluestacks?

Sorry I was trying to edit my reply and I messed it up... hahaha. It happens a lot when I am using my Windows Phone.

Bluestacks is a free Android emulator for windows.

Hmmmm, I may have to see what that's about. Will Windows apps load onto it?

No. It is for running Android on Windows. It's like running an OS on VMware.
