I like the steam acct it's painless for the games they have so is an EA sports acct. I mostly play newer PC driving sims on a G27 wheel like Cruz and and GTA 5 and SWBF and COD for shooters those all look great at 1080P ultra on a decent dGPU and a 40" or larger screen .
I have a 2015 4 k Sony 55" in here next to this PC but a 2013 1080P Sony in the room where the PC with a decent dGPU, S.B. i7 ,and the wheel are .

I have and old HP pavilion Win XP x32 I bought new - with an Intel P4 long retired in the storage bldg. out back with an ancient AGP something and NVidia GTX 440 or something like that DX9 dGPU that aught to tell you how old of an API DX 9 is it could play the old x32 Need for speed OK but not much beyond that .

The PS 3 here plays a lot better than that one ever did I have GTA 5 and COD for that also but the P4 HP Pavilion wasn't bad at the time I bought it but it wasn't a custom game build or Athlon x64 dual core either either .

Intel P4's were not that much better than PIII's some of us got had by Intel back then .... I should have bought an Athlon x64 dual core back then instead !

I remember Overclocking Intel Celeron A300A's and playing Quake on those at decent frame rates they were great overclockers :)

Can someone tell me if I have build 14257 on my laptop, can I use the install.esd to burn an iso and use that on my desktop which refuses to update anymore?

Sure can. Open the DVD and run setup.exe (as admin). Careful to choose the option to retain all your settings and files. Before it restarts the first time, pull the DVD or it will try to boot from it. TC

So, when I pull the DVD and the system reboots, it boots from the system?

Right. It's in the install process at that point. See this tutorial, go to step #4. You're not really "repairing" anything, the process is the same. TC Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - Windows 10 Forums

If you have any Insider Preview build you should be seeing watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen that will identify the build. Presently the 14257 is upgrading over the Threshold 2 that wouldn't have any on the second desktop here while the watermark was already seen on the VM upgraded. All test builds are numbered and have that. The builds that go out for general release won't.
