The new release is not available via Windows Update, though
Read more: http://news.softpedia.com/news/windo...9-499765.shtmlMicrosoft has recently launched a new cumulative update for Windows 10 1511, but contrary to the previous releases, this new one doesn’t seem to show up in Windows Update.
At this point, it’s not yet clear what Windows 10 cumulative update KB3136562 brings new and why it’s not delivered via Windows Update, but anyone can download it using the links at the end of the article. Most likely, it comes with the typical performance improvements and bug fixes change log, as Microsoft no longer provides in-depth details for its updates.
There’s one significant change that this update makes after the install: the Windows 10 update version is bumped to 10586.79, up from 10586.71 at the moment.
No KB page right now
The typical KB page that Microsoft publishes when rolling out cumulative updates does not work for KB3136562, but it should go live in the coming hours, when it might be shipped via Windows Update as well.
hTconeM9user, Did yours arrive via Windows Update or did you use the download links?
Ok thanks. Hopefully it will appear via Windows update later this evening. I'll check when I am at home.
If MS wants users to be up to date then they need to release this via the normal Windows Update method as I'd imagine a vast majority of users will not be aware of this otherwise.
Still hasn't shown up in Windows Update for me.
But I would rather wait, then install something that might be pulled, or not officially sent.
Better to wait, and compute, then BSOD and re-image:).
I don't care that downloads worked for others, this is my system and my setup.
Remember people this is from Softpedia(even though I go there twice a day:)), not Microsoft.
Yeah, I'd rather wait for Windows Update. Just wish they'd slow down a bit. I much preferred getting stressed once a month than getting stressed every one or two weeks.
I got it via windows update at first, but it stopped at 90% then if i restarted it would tell me it was available but not download it
I had to download and install in manually , it mat simply be because its a new file on the servers though
