I work on people's PC's all the time and I've upgraded 44 of them to Windows 10. I can count the number of people who regularly backup their data with one hand and have several fingers left over... I use Malwarebytes and install it on every PC I work on and have the PC's owner pay the $25 for the annual Premium license or I refuse to work on their PC. EVERY PC is infected with malware and many have AVAST, AVG, McAfee or other "garbageware" on them and their devices got infected regardless...
I have Spybot S&D 1.6.2.0 which I think works better and is free. Malwarebytes premium would possibly conflict with Spybot S&D Resident Protection. However, Malwarebytes free program doesn't have real time protection but you can do manual scans. This is just my opinion. I have been using windows 7 with MSE with no issues and it has detected a bad download a few times.

No offense meant, I am not being sarcastic, I am just curious
What do you do when someone comes in with a Linux system, you sure can't install Malwarebytes premium. Why would someone with a Linux come in, upgrade their hard drive or add memory or cpu.

So, how is this different than MB Anti-exploit, besides covering vectors outside of internet activity, such as opening a file?

Uhm it works in the background by itself so no need to do anything.

Do not install very unstable beta!

It was causing problems so I uninstalled it. I had to reinstall Office 365 and Pale Moon because of false positives. I still need to check to see if all my programs will run.

Since the beta 3 the only false positive I'm getting is WinDirStat. Office 2012 and 2016 both work OK (I only use Word and Excel though). PaleMoon portable works but I've not tried the installed version as I don't use it.

I've got it installed on 10586 (x64) and 14257 (x86) and it is much more usable than a week ago.

So far no problems with it. Guess I'm lucky.

Thanks for that. It has fixed WinDirStat so I'm not getting any false positives any more (that I've found anyway )

I'll wait until for a few more releases. I saw the warning about office being ransomware. After that I couldn't open it. When I tried to run Pale Moon I got a message about the program not being found. When I checked the Pale Moon folder the .exe file was missing. I haven't checked all my programs yet to see if any more have been deleted.
