    Interesting statement from Malwarebytes CEO:

Also, as many of you guessed, this will not be a standalone product/agent but rather rolled into our existing products.

    Marcin Kleczynski
    Chief Executive Officer
Seams they have a standalone Beta to find the bugs before it is rolled into other products.

    Another statement I found:
Sorry for your confusion. Please don't take the On/Off button and simple interface as a bad sign. This was simply a quick beta GUI to get the application out, and this technology will be introduced into Malwarebytes Anti-Malware when finished.

I assure you that you are protected from MBARW in every way that CryptoMonitor protected you and more!

I've had one false positive with MS Office. Since the new update everything has been OK.

    Hi forum members.

Just downloaded this software. If it's good as malwarebytes should work just fine.

Aren't regular backups as good a solution?

Only if you disconnect the backup drive when your finished with the backup. Ransomware will try to encrypt all your drives. A backup won't be of much use if ransomware encrypts it.

Yes, I do, as you should with a good backup policy. Unplugged from computer and power to protect against common mode failure (lightening, power surge, etc.)

Although a backup system which uses versioning will be safe. (Think: Crashplan)

    Hi there
Any Ransomware - just forward details to the Police who handle Financial and Internet Fraud in your country. One we get a few of these scammers being seen to go to Jail I'll think we will all be a bit pleased.

Decent backup / restore will always thwart any of this rubbish --people need to backup their DATA at least once in a while as well as OS then Ransoware can't do anything other than just be a simple irritant while people restore OS and data drives.

    Cheers
