Try changing to slow ring, reboot, then change back to fast, reboot, and as soon as you have a desktop and an internet connection, try updating.

Build 11099 Internet Explorer forward/back buttons not working

Has anyone else experienced a problem with build 11099 Internet Explorer where the forward/back buttons do not consistently work ?

I have this problem on two different systems only after upgrading from build 11082 to build 11099. Clearing IE cache / history and resetting IE did not help.

Yes have seen this problem and it also has a problem with favorites.

I have 500+ favorites that are in maybe 100 different Favorite folders. I have seen all subfolders in the favorites disappear leaving only the 100 favorite folders with no contents in them. The Favorites bar disappears first and then all the favorites folders get wiped. Since IE 11 syncs to other machines this has turned out to be a big problem. I haven't taken the time yet to figure out how to prevent it. I will probably just use Macrium Reflect to roll back to a time before11099 is installed and do it while disconnected from the internet to prevent syncing from the IE cloud. May have to do this on all machines, we'll see. Always love a challenge and Microsoft can be good to throw them at us once and a while.

Too bad, I needed to do that once for my VM. You could try turning it off and back on, and if that doesn't work, you might just have to wait. Some members received their build upgrades a week or two after the initial "wave", regardless of where they come from.

You can try(just to be on the safe side when upgrading) to copy & save your user favorites folder to an external device, and export your IE settings also there.

As long as your timezone is correctly set, the language settings, do not matter.
Being an American living in Germany, my system is US/ENG, my keyboard DEU(german), and Timezone Berlin, and everything updates. You could check your internet time sync in Date & Time.

Go to Advanced Options in Windows Update. Select "Stop Insider Preview builds". In dropdown menu of next blue box, select 1 day. Reboot. Go back to Advanced Options. Select "Resume". Reboot. Check for updates. This worked for me. Maybe you, too. TC
