    Geeks, a warning to those of you who like me have set the File Explorer to show hidden items.

    <snip>

    It seems that when Hide protected operating system files is unselected, also the content of Recycle Bin among other System folders will be indexed and cataloged.

    I resolved this simply by selecting Hide protected operating system file in Folder Properties, and by deciding to empty my Trashcan more often :)

    I'm always reluctant to empty my trash in fear of "there might be something in there I forgot I would need".

    I think with larger hard drives of terabytes rather than gigabytes that we tend to just leave things as they are rather than try to save space.

    WiFi fully functional and connected as always.

    I got this notification a few moments ago:
    When I clicked the notification, it opened the Pictures app which showed a load of photos, images and videos on one of my external drives in a new album, all items I thought I had deleted. The app was showing a thumbnail for each media file, however when selected the preview told "You have no permissions to open this file", whatever files I tried to preview.

    Checking the file properties for these over 1,600 files I noticed they were all in the folder I:\$RECYCLE.BIN\S-1-5-21-1729844725-1413018180-2938363878-1005\$RHH205J. All the files can also be found with Search.

    It works absolutely fine. It disables all connections when enabled but then you can still enable wifi and all will look as on your screen, but disabling airplane mode then and enabling it back again will disable wifi. Works exactly as on android and iOS so nothing to fix here.

    Disagree. I'm well aware of how it works and the functionality is indeed intact. However, if airplane mode is not on, then the tile shouldn't be lit. The indication is erroneous and has been since RTM.

    Furthermore, if I move the airplane mode tile to among the top 4, it WILL then behave appropriately in all regards. At that point, however, the Bluetooth tile will light up, even though Bluetooth is off. This is a bug that has yet to be resolved and there are multiple congruent reports in both this forum and at Insider feedback.

    Wel from the screen I can see that you have wifi enabled so I assumed it should be lit. Other than that On my tab everything works as it should and tabs are white. The only one that gets grayed out is mobile network and it's the same as on other systems. So airplane mode permamently disables only mobile networks not wifi and bt.

    Here is how things should look, IMO (note these are from my RTM install, which I run most of the time, winver: 10586.63):
    Airplane Mode ON, both WiFi and BT killed by airplane mode (yes I did independently confirm lack of connectivity) -

    and Airplane Mode OFF - both WiFi and BT have come back on simply by turning airplane mode off (even though I have BT OFF, I can cycle that tile also and things then behave correctly, but then revert to wrong behavior after a restart) -

    If I'm sitting in an airplane and the time comes, clicking that airplane mode tile had damn well better shut off both my WiFi and BT - just my 2 cents.
