Didn't need to download anything, mine just automatically upgrade. Just finished, seems OK.
Good to hear. I'm finding the new build to be great so far.

Used it briefly last nigh on my laptop. My first impressions are that I don't like the new Start Menu/Screen. It's seems usable enough in tablet mode. Took me forever to find that setting to change it. Its more appealing looks wise in tablet mode than the other mode, for me anyway. Still don't like it though, but I'll take my own advise and try using it for a while before totally giving up on it. It's a new learning curve that's for sure. No more charms bar so you have to use "Settings". Control Panel is still there, if you look hard enough. The old just type what your looking for on the Start Screen is gone? Why? You have to hover in the top right corner for a bit now to get the X to close stuff. No Desktop Tile on the Metro Start screen/menu, you have to click the Start Button to get back to the desktop. Windows logo key might work too, I didn't think to try it. I'm on my desktop PC running 8.1 at the moment, debating to even bother installing 10 TP on it? I likely will but I'm not as enthused about doing it as I was yesterday. One thing I noticed is it took forever for something to happen after booting from my thumb drive on my laptop. Just a blank screen with no drive activity that I could see. The just about when I was going to force a power down the install started up again. I didn't time it but I'm guessing 10 minutes at least of just a black blank screen. No flashing under score or cursor. Anybody else in the same spot may just want to wait it out to see if it continues after a while.
