Seeing something in 3D that you can rotate around to all the different angles, before you actually print it in 3D would be a real advantage to some. I would think anybody seriously in CAD design will be lining up to get one.
You bet I will be. I play around in 3D CAD all the time, to be able to do what that one picture shows would be mind blowing. Heck, even if it only does part of what that pic shows would great. To actually see what I have designed with out having to spend thousands for a 3D printer would be fantastic.

    This is unbelievable! Simply amazing!

The HoloLens has so much great potential to revolutionize the computing space, graphic design, GPS navigation, and ESPECIALLY online commerce. Just think about the fact one day you could be on amazon and you can physically see and manipulate something before you can buy it. That's such a problem when it comes to online retail versus brick-and-mortar retail is the fact you can't actually hold it in your hands let alone have a physical scope of the object.

This is literally the makings of the HoloDeck from Star Trek, just unbelievable! And even more incredible, it's a standalone device unlike that dinky googly glasses that only works with a smartphone.

Something most people may not see if you install on a VM...

If you install on real hardware with a GPU, then 9926 installs 3D Builder, a 3D modeling program included directly with Windows. It's in the store and you can download it separately, even on Windows 8.x but it's included by default in 10 when you have a GPU. Kind of cool.

You can use it to build 3D models for 3D Printing.
