Okay
Okay
Well, they finally found a way to make metro popular... give it away for free. Quite possibly one of the most cynical moves I've ever seen by a software company.
Of course free falls within my favorite price zone, so I'll surely take it.
lol, just because you don't like it doesn't mean the whole world doesn't like it. More and more people are going to the "like" camp as they make changes. Windows 10 is never going to be Windows 7 so you can dream on on that one.
This may sound terrible but I made that exact mistake at Christmas but with Apple. I bought someone an "Apple Store" voucher which failed to work in the "Apple App Store". We had to go to the physical building and spend the "Apple Store" voucher to buy a "iTunes" Voucher for the same amount. It made me feel kind of old and out of touch![]()
I suspect that the upgrade to Win10 will be akin to the 8.1 upgrade (or was that 8.1 update 1)
- an ESD from the Store, if not the Store then from the Download Catalogue.
Can we step back and appreciate the fact that Hell just froze over, because Microsoft...
IS LITERALLY GIVING USERS THE LATEST AND GREATEST VERSION OF WINDOWS TO LITERALLY 60+ PERCENT OF THE TOTAL MARKETSHARE FREE AS AIR WINDOWS 10 FOR A WHOLE YEAR?!?!?!?!?!
UTTER SHOCK AND AWE! ('o')
Windows 7 holds like 49ish percent of the Windows marketshare, Windows 8.x holds about over 10 percent or more, Windows Phone holds about four percent globally but that doesn't bear any weight in all of this. Altogether, Windows 7 and 8.1 have a HUGE chunk of marketshare, that again, has a whole year to upgrade to Windows 10 FREE of charge, with no apparent strings attached.
It's 21st century Microsoft just woke up today.
Thanks, that's how you came up with +60% ... I knew you had the answer I was looking for :)
