Of course, it will be.
That would tick OEM users off. I lucked out and dell sent me a re-installation disk of windows 7 but it was like pulling teeth to get it. Come to find out later, the slowness was cause by a bad motherboard. Microsoft also needs to included the OEM users as well.
I edited my previous post, it is kind of hard to put somethings in writing.
What about this way
$10.00 (U.S. dollars) Windows 10 Home Premium (Get it windows 10 for $10.00 for home users)
$50.00 Windows 10 Pro
$xxx.xx Windows 10 enterprise
No subscriptions required
This would be for everyone & you could change architecture if you do a clean install.
Hi there
What a boring planet we would live on if people didn't sometimes take a risk --applies to businesses too. Go on Ms - you could say let the first 250,000 downloaders do it to limit the numbers and use BITTORRENT to stop your servers crashing or getting overloaded. Bittorrent is a perfectly legitimate way of downloading (Legal) material - I often download Linux distros etc that way - not a problem at all if the torrents come from 100% legitimate sites.
Cheers

I was thinking along the same lines there Jimbo. Make it a one time limited time offer. Something like the free Media Center keys offer. One free product code per e-mail address or Microsoft Live ID. Bit torrent would work for me. It would spread the bandwidth nicely too. For a while anyway, a lot of people would stop the session once their download was completed.
I don't use bit torrents. They can still do what I said earlier. I do have at least one installed on my Linux system but the only reason it is there it came with the Operating system. Hopefully we will find out everything next week.
I personally I'm not looking for free or a discount.
What I want is the best damn operating system Microsoft has ever made. I want to be able to buy a Microsoft produced DVD and the proper COA attached. I will do the rest.
Just because I got to play in the big league ball park before the season started doesn't mean I should get free tickets or discount tickets when the season opens.
When it becomes available to the public how will it be available to buy, CD at the store or downloaded from the net. If I have a problem with my PC that I can't fix, I reformat. I would like a disk or flash drive so I get 10 back without buying it again. When I buy a new PC I order the reformatting CDs or flash drive as soon as I get the PC set up.
Those would reasonable prices
but here is most likely what will occur;
$130.00 Windows 10 Home Premium
$200.00 Windows 10 Pro
$499.00 Windows 10 Enterprise
(they will offer OEM discounts)
Microsoft has no intentions, of cutting prices, and in addition, have Bing installed by default. So don't kid yourselves.
