I heard somewhere that the 15th was sign-off... thus I suspect 9924 will be the one.

NB: the screenshots (of I posted is obviously a previous build ?9920) shows only Windows 10 Technical Preview - no mention of January/Consumer etc... Will be interesting to hear what they call this build.
If you have read the MS releases they said that the Jan meeting would be a Preview of Consumer features of Windows 10 and what the next Technical Preview release would contain. Never said anything about a Consumer Preview release like with Windows 8.

The original schedule was for a Consumer Preview release around April 15.

I just can't wait to hear all of the features Windows 10 will offer

Jan27 was originally discussed as the date of the next release.

    Rumor mills:
    Jan21 next release
MS considering transition from Tech Preview to Consumer Preview earlier than originally scheduled

I guess some folks read that as Consumer Preview instead of a Preview of Consumer features

    Guesses on my part:
MS is going to make this a big splash - announce on Jan21 complete with briefing, fast track release Jan23, slow track release Jan27
They might drag out the fast track release to the original Jan27 date in order to build anticipation and excitement! Nothing like good old fashion marketing.

    just guessing though.

Well I can't prove it now. I remember reading an news or a tech article saying a consumer preview would be released in Jan 2015. Then I read another one, that said a consumer preview would be released in Jan or Feb 2015. If zdnet article correct, I don't know if they will talk or say anything about the consumer preview.

    Hi there
09.32 GMT -- No new preview was found --try later. That's from the FAST preview setting in PC settings on build 9879 - 21 Jan.

    Hopefully it will appear soon.

    Cheers

I imagine it will be quite a while yet, MS are not starting to announce it until 5pm GMT (9am PST), so I doubt it will be available before then

There is nothing new on MSDN yet. I wasn't expecting anything but had a look see anyway. We'll likely have to wait until the Live Webcast is over to actually get our hands on it.
