So,, what you're saying is that anyone who does nothing to the registry, clean it, isn't properly maintaining their PC?

I always do the backup beforehand and give a quick glance at what it is removing. I like the registry to be perfect.

If these Reg Cleaners actually performed the way their developers claim they do would 99.9 % of them be free.? Ho many users actually take the time to fully backup their registry before using a Reg Cleaner. I would guess 10%, the rest just think e the product will do what it says it will do. It is a choice use it or do not, it is up to you.

I find somewhat interesting, that most people judging reg cleaners, never actually used them.
It is like saying: "I know it is bad, because I have read that." I prefer facts rather than hearsay.
Like a magnetic bracelet, people and scientists say, that it is nonsense and yet it saved my wrist.

So you are saying, that if something is free, it is bad? Like Linux, LibreOffice, CCleaner, etc?

I would not touch a reg cleaner, which does not backup registry automatically, but most do.

That is the problem, people are 100% sure, that it is true. Reg cleaners have got their bad reputation during XP era, the same time IE6 was the worst browser out there and IE did not shake that down even until now.
