    Hi,

Anyone else using IE11 on this build and noticing how it likes to crash/hang when quite a few tabs are open ?
It may be site related but I don't have this issue with 10586.

    TIA,

    weird thing with CorelDraw7
it hangs when initially opening - freezes at the YouTube link on the opening page..
I see the little circle start to work, indicating that it's going to start the YouTube link, then the program seizes up..

    - oddly enough I still have access to Start and if I load CorelDraw7 again, over the existing frozen set-up..
    - it loads OK - and the YouTube vid starts up automatically as it should do..

Also, when I tried to download and install Corel WebCreator, it asked me to load Java
    - but Java doesn't work with Edge, so I can't install the download..

    - spooky

There is one site I use IE 11 for and when I'm Using it I sometimes go to other sites and I've noticed it's hanging and or loading pages slow with as few as three tabs open .

I think it caught something contagious from Edge

Sure glad for Chrome (my default ) and Firefox !

    Hi,

LOL. I was just about to post the same eventlog error when I saw yours coming through.

It seems we are both using the x86 version. I think on version 10586 I was using the x64 version which ran just fine.

I'll try the x64 one on this build and see how that goes.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

You're absolutely correct. That just slipped my mind entirely for some reason.
Thanks for pointing that out to my aging mind. LOL.

    Cheers,
Actually I think I'm wrong in this case as opposed to windows 7 where IE10 x64 being an upgrade (overwrite) from IE 9 always ended up in the x86 folder here but worked fine . ( I deleted my last post )

Not sure if the windows 10 app list by default has IE 11 x86 (32 bit) in there and that's apparently what I was using all along somehow ?? .

I had it pinned to the task bar I just removed same and put x64 IE in it's place now I'll drop the x64 shortcut in the start menu program folder and straighten that out in the app list and start menu .

Update the start menu program folder >Windows Accessories folder has IE 11 x64 in there I cant figure
(or remember ) how I ended up with 32 bit IE 11 on the task bar so I'll just blame it on Microsoft ha ha

    Hi,

Yes, I noticed you retracted that post so I checked both versions and even though it doesn't say explicitly that one is X86 and the other x64 I assume that by their location and different file size that indeed they are different versions.

So I did the same as you have and am now using the X64 version just to find out if that solves the issue I had with the x86 one on my x64 platform.

You are correct about Win 7 in that it came with a far less developed x64 version but the start menu or other shortcuts on desktop etc. made you use the x86 one.

Update the start menu program folder >Windows Accessories folder has IE 11 x64 in there I cant figure
(or remember ) how I ended up with 32 bit IE 11 on the task bar so I'll just blame it on Microsoft ha ha
Well, I know how I did end up with. I'm an old computer rat so I'm used to work with Explorer. So I must have inadvertently sent a shortcut of the x86 version to the desktop. The rest as they say is history....

Let's see how the x64 version works out even though I feel the x86 one ought to behave just the same anyhow.

    Thanks for the replies,

I would suggest TeraCopy, I've been using it for years. Extras, too. Rename, verify, progress of single and multiple files at top, results in body of display. Might want to try it. Free copy does just fine. TeraCopy for Microsoft Windows - Code Sector Tomcat. :)
Thanks for the tip. I will download it later tonight.
