Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 11082 Insider
-
It hasn't shown up for me yet either. I have had this old build for a looong time now. BTW I don't believe that the 30 day thing applies to insider builds. I seem to remember getting a few last spring just days apart.
It doesn't. IIRC, those who've updated from Windows 7 or 8.1 within 30 days won't get updates to the next release, i.e. the November update Version 1511, etc.

I have created my bootable Flash Drive, so I guess I'll just go ahead and clean install Build 11082 on Lappy. I was going to anyway, but wanted to update first.

I've given up checking updates for the evening. Too late, for me, to mess with it now if it did come in. I'll check tomorrow. Maybe by Christmas I'll get it. ho-ho-ho........

I sympathize, TomCat. It's such a disappointment to see everyone else getting while you sit there and wait and wait and wait . . . That happened to me on July 29 when the first "final" of Windows 10 popped up. I finally broke down and got the media creation tool.

Since there really isn't any usability/up-front and visible changes to see to this new Insider Build, I am just going to wait until my PC updates to it naturally. The only changes are under-the-hood to the OneCore kernel so there really isn't any point to clean install at this point.
I am jealous of those of you who already received the new build.

Don't be. Next time you'll get it first and we'll be looking in at you. :)

Gonna check it out now. I knew I would sooner or later!
Mounting the iso and clicking on Setup; see how it goes! :)

Just got a clean install onto Lappy. Twenty-five minutes. Much better timing than an update.

For sure!
However, when I do a clean install, my SATA Controller never gets installed and I always have drives missing at boot up. When I do an upgrade install, it does!
