Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 11082 Insider

I've noticed the same: copying to Android, iOS or any other connected non-Windows device, the progress bar is there. However, that is shown by a different process than in internal copy in Windows, a tell tale being that the "More / Fewer details" link present in internal Windows copy dialog is missing from this one. You can check this by copying something within Windows, I don't believe the progress bar will be there.
Ah, ok. Thanks for the info, Kari. Guess I'll keep TeraCopy installed then.

I Just copied a 3GB file to the desktop from a library folder and then recycled it, the progress bar showed when up the file recycle began just now , first time I've seen it in 11082

I'm willing to admit I was wrong. That is good news!

Let's just hope it's consistent with all file transfers moves ,etc. within and in and out of Windows .
I moved ~ 650 GB to another HDD just before this latest Insider build came in . I'm glad it was working then !

I was wrong admitting I was wrong...
I just checked this, the progress bar is shown when I copy to Android but it is not shown when I copy files in Windows internally. Recorded this short one minute video about copying a big file (Windows 10 Build 11082 install.wim) just now:

Geek Version of Russian Roulette?
When can I safely remove drive/shut down?
Is copy finished now?
This is a case where "Safe to remove" is definitely needed when unplugging an external device "after copying".

You were right, not wrong. The elusive progress bar is still missing, hidden under a desk somewhere. Back to TeraCopy.

Copying anything over a GB or two is kind of a pain you have to compare the source and destination file sizes or just wait for the file folder to disappear from the source folder or library if you are moving it instead or we can just use a 3rd party file copy/transfer app until and if they fix it on this build ☻☻

I haven't got 11082, but, can somebody copy a large file with Task Manager open and see if the process shows and is able to be 'Switched to',
just to see if that snap-in is completely missing in 11082:
