Thanks tomcat. Works like a charm.
I Might have to try Terra Copy it's a remarkably bad defect that 11082 file transfer/copy progress bar is absent. I could see it , if it was never present but come on Microsoft someone's asleep over there maybe put a foot up they arse

I'm Downloading some more 4K eye candy factory demos to play on the new 4K Sony TV in here and if I move the files after I download (which I'm Not doing ) then I can't see the progress way to go MS .

Thinking about carving out a small partition on my SP3 lappy SSD and installing 11082. Just to see what it does, etc.
Did you finally get it, TomCat?

I've installed this preview just for laughs and giggles. Everything was fast and smooth. I will report back with my observations regarding performance and/or problems.

I do not know exactly what the myth is regarding a 30 day holding pattern before you can receive a preview build, but it is exactly that; A MYTH. On December 7th, 2015 I installed a new SSD into my computer, so I decided to do a clean install, from scratch. I played around with this rig for a little over a week when I decided to turn on the "receive preview builds" feature. I turned on the feature early morning on Dec. 19th, and I restarted my computer about 4 or 5 times during the day and by early evening the new preview build began to download. It installed normally and everything is working fine, except my sleep mode (but that is a topic for another thread).

Seems that you have totally misunderstood this. The 30 day wait is when you have in-place upgraded, either from Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or an earlier build of Windows 10. When in-place upgraded, Windows 10 gives you 30 days to restore the previous Windows version. What has been told here is that during this 30 day "Oh Shit, I don't like this, I want to go back to my old Windows" grace period users have been unable to receive Insider build upgrades.

As far as I know nobody has mentioned that a clean install also had this 30 day no new builds restriction.

Thank you, Kari. That is precisely what I had. I did an "in place" upgrade 10586 over 10586 to fix some problems I had created. I did that on 11/17/15. Not until 12/18/15 did I get the 11082 offer.

I do confirm that the file transfer/copy progress bar is not showing up. I don't have the Surface apps and as usual, I have no bug and no error to report. All apps that I usually run are responding positively to the 11082.1000 build. Feel good to see the watermark again.

    Regards,

    Mike
    P.S.: Sleep Mode runs normally
