I have struggling to use Edge these last few months but I finally gave up the struggle and switched to Firefox. Everything is so much easier now.
Agree with you - exactly what I have done.

i am disliking edge because on intermittent occasions I will click edge on the pinned taskbar and nothing will open. Subsequent attempts to click again yield nothing. It is easy to fix, either restart machine or go into task manager and kill all edge processes. Then if I click it opens just fine. There is no rhyme or reason behind why it does sometimes. It's actually pretty rare but enough to be an annoyance. I wonder if this is one to add to the list of glitches. IE11, Mozilla and chrome are all installed too and these all behave pretty much perfectly
    cheers, Wayne

Live life on the Edge with Microsoft Edge. It is a great browser. I don't see anything wrong with it.

A quick off the wall question to all you Edge users...

Have you ever encountered an issue where the text you type in a reply box on a forum (such as here) is suddenly flagged as incorrect by the spellchecker and is all underlined in red as you continue to type. Nothing will shift the error, you can delete the text and retype it but the underlining in red still appears. The only way to clear it is to refresh the page.

I've an open bug report with MS on this. Just wondered if any one else had ever observed this happen on any site.
If your sure the word is spelled correctly you can right click on it and add it to the dictionary.

When I try logging into my bank account with edge I keep getting a error message. It says I either double clicked or used the back button. No problems with Explorer or Pale Moon.

After reading so much views here, the summary is that Edge has to work very hard to get in competition with Firefox or Chrome.I do also think that at this time, Edge is not fit for use(might be for some). But if we see the history of Browsers with Microsoft, looks like its somwhat difficult.Good Luck Edge Team @Microsoft.

Oh yes I have noticed that on numerous occasions since I started using it a few days ago.
Thanks very much for confirming that. Would you say it was 'site specific', i.e. just one site you use seems to generate the problem, or does it do it on many sites ?

Its a bit more than that... when it occurs, all the text you type is highlighted incorrect. If you delete the text and retype then the new text is also highlighted as in error.

I have.. it stinks but to work around this issue I just start over. Not a perfect solution but it gets it done for me at least and when I want to write a long post I use my word processor and cut and paste the entry. I find it easier to get my thoughts down that way.
