I'm busy with updated now. It's taking a long time on my "up to 4Mbps" ADSL connection.
I realise the updates are important, but here in South Africa the best ADSL connection I can get where I live is a DL speed of "up to 4 Mbps", and I have a monthly data cap of 20 GB. I usually achieve an actual DL speed of around 3.0 to 3.4 Mbps
I'm thinking of changing my forum user name to IH8MSUpdates

Have you had all the previous updates installed?

I get upto 2M broadband with download speeds between 0.5 and 1.5 depending on time of day
Download of this update took about 10 mins for me

Many users including me are having problems with Outlook 2010 due to Update KB3114409. This update needs to be removed to restore correct operation. Did Microsoft actually test this before release?

    Hi all,

Downloaded and installed Cumulative Update KB3116900 with a bunch of Office updates and restarted my Dell. Rechecked for update a few mintes later and Cumulative Update KB3116900 reinstalled AUTOMATICALLY for the SECOND time.

I don't see any problems so far (Windows and Office appear to respond even faster and smoother as a matter of fact) but it's weird, no?

To be honest it's hard for MS to test every possible situation that might be effected with each update but I do understand your frustration.

Yes, all previous updates were done. It finally finished though and all installed OK
Perhaps my ISP was having a bad day! I should have performed a speed test at the time of downloading the updates .. it may have shown I was restricted, possibly due to line issues (common in my part of the country)
Must admit I didn't think ANY country had slower ADSL speeds that South Africa! My Dad in the UK has a BT 8 Mbps connection, and never complains about MS updates taking a long time. But then again, he's 95 years old, so he probably wouldn't notice!

Running Winver command shows I am now on OS Build 10856.29
