You can switch light/dark mode within Groove instead of system wide.
Good; often can't read anything when outdoors in bright sunlight!

    Attachment 52224

I always use dark mode to save battery. I don't know if that really helps.

Big day, first update worldwide to all Win Phones running Win 10 .....

Big day, first update worldwide (and more to come) to all phones running Windows10 - same build as PC!

Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.29 rolls out to non-insider Lumia 950s and Lumia 950 XLs

Reports from all over the world started pouring today, that Lumia 950s and Lumia 950XLs including Lumia 950 on AT&T are getting Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.29. This is happening just a day after same build were released to these phones which are enrolled into Insider's program.

This update signals first test of Windows as a Service (WaaS) model about which Microsoft was talking a lot lately. WaaS means that desktop and mobile versions of OS are get same update on the same day. As we reported earlier today, Cumulative update also brought desktop version of Windows 10 to build 10586.29. This is the first time since Windows 10 release as Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile sporting same build number is available for general public, not only Windows insiders.

Also it is worth mentioning, that AT&T users are getting this update at the same time as all others, so this may signal that carries won't longer interfere with software updates.

I found a work around was to change the typical 1 minute turn off cycle of the lock screen to a "never" setting while using phone as a mobile hotspot. This solved the problem for me, just remember to turn the lock screen back to 1 minute when finished using the phone as a hot spot.

    Hope it helps.

Rumor has it that the company is planning to ship this version as a cumulative update, just like the previous one, so it won’t bring any new features, but focus specifically on bug fixes and performance improvements.
