Not sure what you meant by going into the Quick actions menu, but according to Brink, their is noway to remove it from the Quick action menu. You can turn it off, but its always going to be showing. I'm thinking in future updates down the road, maybe we will have more control on what displays on that Quick Action menu. Or some 3rd party app, will give us more control.

Yea, the Bluetooth button was in and enabled in my Action Center until like the first cumulative update came out after the recent 10586 build came out. After that first CU came out, the button was gone from the Action Center.

Fixing to restart due to this recent CU... I'll check back in.

I'm sympathize with your (and my) frustration with unannounced updates, especially when without explanation in advance, I also like to be in complete control of my system but my regular offline backups I can access even from a live Linux so they are safe. Since early alpha of W8 I did not have a complete wipe-out of another online disk let alone offline backups.
My data is backed up, that's not the problem. I've also got system images so no update can really cause more hassle than having to restore data and/ or a system image. But as you also mentioned it's just frustrating seeing MS slowly taking over control over our computers.

By "Quick action", I mean which of the 4 buttons (of your total, mine total 13) show in the top row. No way to remove any of my 13 total "actions" I know of but I CAN control which 4 are displayed along the top row, i.e., the 4 that remain showing if you click on "Collapse V". I assume it is only these 4 that are considered "Quick actions" since there are only 4 spots you can select the buttons for under that Settings menu entry.

Ahh ok, I thought you might be talking about the Action Menu on right side of task bar, which shows 9 icons, of which one is the Bluetooth icon. Those we can't remove at the present time. You can hide some, but that's all it does is hide em.

This update somehow broke my multi-media keys (Play, Stop, Forward, Back, Volume).

Rebooting seems to make them work again for exactly 50 minutes (no more and no less) before they stop working again
