Hi. I'm fairly new at dual monitors. Keyboard as primary navigation. You just taught me a key combo I must've passed up somehow and I have many lists. Thanks.

Yes and dual booting 8.1 with 10 and keeping up with changes is somewhat of a chore.

Ok, all of you saying that your computer is magically faster... It's not. Placebo effect of the update, that's all.
Yes, according to Microsoft, the .14 update was made to fix a small bug with the Privacy settings not "sticking" through the upgrade to 10586. Apparently only a smaller select audience experienced this bug--I didn't. But anyway it seems to me that whoever had the weekend duty @ Microsoft goofed in pulling the 10586 update over the weekend. It's now back where it was, along with the media creation tools for creating an image of 1511, build 10586. (The three cumulative updates since RTM 10586.0 moving it to 10586.14.)

The same can happen when having 2 or more computers with different versions of Windows. Right now I have Win7 Pro, Win10 Pro and Win10 Home Desktops running.

??? What is in this? I can't imagine why a restart was required for just changing some settings.
supposedly the previous threshold 2 build code itself did not retain certain (imho trivial) settings. my guess is that sort of problem is more the toggle to the settings concerned.

I downloaded the update and when I run it I get the message "The update is not applicable to your computer"? Huh?
I made sure it was the x64 version. I'm currently at Build 10240, which is the update version. Is that why? can I not get this build?

This new update is to fix some issues in build 10586. You must first upgrade version 10240 to 10586 to install it. Find the official Windows 10 ISO in Microsoft Tech Bench. Careful, "English" is English US and "English International" is English GB. Make sure you download the correct language or you won't be able to upgrade.

is this 10586 ISO and upgrade? not a full install?
