    Thanks for that video, Dave.

The Brits have the same Halo voice, which I think will be global. They may have different voice features down the road. They're just sound files.

That's the way she works on Windows Phone. Got it about 5 months ago. Great feature indeed! :)
Unfortunately us Brits don't get the Halo voice actor in our version of Cortana

I personally have no issue with who it is (not sure who voices it here) but its not Jen Taylor who does the Halo voice

*not used the voice side for about a month so things might have changed since I last checked

Oh? Does she have a British accent? Or is it we that have the accent?

I have cortana on my windows phone, voice selection is either male or female on there. Had to use developer preview to get the cortana update in UK
I've updated my Windows phone to 8.1 but there's no Cortana to found unless I change from UK to US country/language.

    How did you manage it?

Think of the stereotypical British voice used on US tv shows

Hi there. Perhaps it's only offered in the Developers Preview that he mentions.

UK Cortana is available on the newer phones (Think that's the 735 & 830 Nokia)

All other phones require the Developers Preview (as mentioned above), free to get and means you don't wait for the carriers to release the updates (could have bugs but so far rock solid for me)

There was a BBC announcer whom I thought had a sexy voice. She must be listed here somewhere:

This is the type of voice that cortana reminds me of :)

Thought it would probably be just for the newer phones, I have the 520 which is the entry level phone over here, it is running Windows 8.1 Cyan. I went with that as it was the cheapest contract and was only a couple of pounds more a month than I was paying on PAYG.

I'll be able to upgrade from May next year but as yet don't know what phones I'll be offered, I would like to go with another Lumia Windows phone.
