Thanks, my LAPTOP does not have DVD burner but I have an external DVD that I can plug on USB port. Can I use it for installation with iso file ? MCT proposes also USB option. What do you recommend? iso/DVD or USB?

If you get the ISO you can just double click to mount it and then click on setup.exe. No need to put it on DVD or USB for an upgrade - only for a clean install.

sfc /scannow now discovered corrupt files. dism broken with this update i.e. unable to find correct repair source files from microsofts own iso obtained on the mct portal. dism says corrupt system files are repairable. I can see the dism file needed to effect a repair i.e. "install.esd" however "DISM" itself appears broken. Thanks Microsoft, you just had to .... everything up AGAIN.

    you can go to windows\logs\cbs.log

and your can see what file is corrupt.

    fyi

there might be a corrupt file called opencl.dll showing up on some systems. it not really important to fix because the version its detecting is not being used and is located in winsxs folder

Switch to MCT->USB installer, I still get the error VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR.

When previous windows 10 comes back I get this notification screen

Windows 10 Threshold 2 (November Update) Installation Problems-th2installationissue.png

When click on Troubleshooting tips, it leads me to this page Get help with Windows 10 upgrade and installation errors - Windows Help

The error code range 0xC1900101-0x3000D in the windows is not exactly reported in the MS page. However, the two possible causes is "incompatible app installed" or "your PC doesn’t meet the minimum requirements to download or install the upgrade to Windows 10."

I'll chase out but it will not be easy.

You could try uninstalling your Nvidea and Intel video drivers (so you just have Microsoft Basic Display Adapter), upgrade and then install them again. And make sure you have > 10GB spare on your local disk.

I had to do that with VirtualBox display adapter for initial upgrade to 10.

Look in this thread Error DISM restorehealth - Page 2 - Windows 10 Forums and download the Tech Bench ISO (if you haven't already) and the script of @Kyhi

Run option 3 and then option 8. This fixed the opencl.dll issue for me when dism without specifying source didn't.
