First Major Update for Windows 10 Available

Microsoft Windows 10x64 Pro build 19044.1949

Didn't have any trouble downloading it or installing it. It also seems to be running quite well but like most things done by Microsoft have to throw in some frustrations to make people know they can do what they want. It seems to reset many things that I had changed such as the icons for my headset (speaker and microphone icons) and restored many of the default programs that I had already removed.

    Noob question is on way.
If i create a new ISO from MediaCreationTool, installs only home edition ? Because i want Pro and i didnt see any option there :/
MCT installs what you have activated for that PC already . IIRC ISO/USB downloads*may* give you the option to download one or the other but either one will only activate on a given PC with a previous activated *same kind * of Windows pro or home install or with a qualifying Windows product key or prior activation on a clean install.

I'm getting the Home version on a Desktop now, hasn't come in for the Pro Desktop yet.
Hmm, maybe this is why I don't have it yet. I have the Pro.

I don't think it's available for Enterprise yet, Suspect. That's a whole 'nother situation!
I dont want to update my current edition, i want to make a new install but with PRO and not enterprise edition. I can use the tool for this job or not?

Update/Upgrade seems to have gone nicely... the boxes on the bottom of my notification center are different, I now have a Bluetooth box that's on, but I have no Bluetooth devices on my desktop... when I click it to turn it off, it opens Settings...

The iso you were able to download with the Media Creation Tool today is quite a bit smaller than the esd converted one; 3.04GB as opposed to 3.65GB.
The Win 10 ISO is 3.74gig , while the media created download file is 3.04gig...

Anyway I'm about to go the media created route and report back later.

    Peace

Don't think so, Computiac. How many times have we seen those with Home wonder the same thing? :)

The free upgrade is a same same deal and not applicable to Windows Enterprize . MCT wont work on Windows Enterprise unless you have a product key for Home or Pro .

You would have to buy a Windows PRO licence + product key or download the media somewhere if you have a key to get windows PRO or buy the product at the MS store . http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...oryID.70036700
